It’s officially VMA time. Last night the 2019 VMAs took place in New Jersey’s Prudential Center located in Newark. This year’s ceremony marks the first time the award took place in New Jersey. This year’s show also marks the return of having an actual host by way of Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco. The night was filled with awards and performances. We personally were looking forward to this year’s Video Vanguard Recipient Missy Elliott. While there were many moments from the night that had social media buzzing, we would be remiss to mention the red carpet looks. Fashion fans, we have arrived another first Monday in the world of fashion. This time around it is the CFDA Fashion Awards. This year’s CFDA Fashion Awards took place last night at Brooklyn Museum for the second year in a row & marked the first show with Designer Tom Ford as Chairman. The award ceremony was co-hosted by Comedians Jessica Williams & Hasan Minhaj. It is a night awarded the who’s who in the fashion industry including some of the biggest designers, entertainers and more. Some of this year’s honorees include Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Bob Mackie, Fashion Icon Jennifer Lopez, Positive Change Award Eileen Fisher, and even Board of Directors’ Tribute Barbie. Of course, we couldn’t view the award show itself we could check out all the red-carpet fashion. Check out some of our favorite looks from the night.
After the rumors were officially confirmed Fenty Maison is now available online. According to the website, the luxury fashion line is founded by Robyn Rihanna Fenty in collaboration with LVMH. As it was reported this line marks the first headed by a Black Woman under LVMH. The line consists of looks that is for the woman or man in charge much like Rihanna. There are several many memorable looks check out the items that are currently on our wish list below.
We all have things that we do to prepare for the Summer months. Of course, that includes beach essentials and more. What about your hair? I don’t know about you, but when temperatures rise my hair becomes drier than it usually is. One of the first things I do is to figure out where I can make changes in my wash day routine.
