International Designer & Boutique Owner Odalys Marino recently made her NYFW debut with the “Olympus” Spring/Summer 2019 Collection. The Cuban designer showcased her latest collection by embracing inclusivity. According to their press release, the runway show featured more than 20 models including a plus-size model and a trans model. The collection consists of vivid Grecian inspired looks that effortlessly transported the audience to Mount Olympus.
“It’s an honor for me to be a part of fashion week in New York. “Being among the few Latinas, I am proud to bring my roots and talents on a multicultural platform,” said Marino. One of the highlights of the runway show was Supermodel, Actress and Presenter Deborah Albuquerque who delighted the Brazilian community with Odalys’ designs.
Inspired by her mother who sewed in Cuba, Marino began designing clothes for her granddaughters and noticed the acceptance that their creations had. She agreed to make designs for other clients upon request. The high demand for her clothes motivated her to open Nory’s Design Boutique in Tampa, Florida.
