Fashion Week Stockholm Spring/Summer 2017 just wrapped up this Wednesday. The week itself consisted of three days filled with fashion and showcasing some of the best designers by way of Sweden. This season’s show was no exception. Some of the many collections can be found below.
Day 1 8/29/16

According to the show details “Bricolage” is the theme of the collection for this season and is given expression in form of creating new meaning from the old, colour-blockings, Layer on Layer and mix of materials. Although I personally appreciate the solid looks, you can’t help, but notice the ones featuring feather boas, tropical and animal prints.

For this Spring/Summer collection designer Elin Alemdar, gather inspiration from the Yucatec Mayan language. She was able to communicate through the use of vibrant colors, embroidered details and handmade prints. One of my favorite parts is how the collection had just the right level of femininity in each piece. I can definitely see some how the looks can be worn in the day or night with ease.
Day 2 8/30/16

Although this collection was very concise each design still made its own impact. You really gain the emphasis of the fine detailing from this couture line. The crimson color gown is definitely one of my favorite.

This collection has more a casual vibe which is great for the ladies for a day look. I also like the particular color palette.
Day 3 8/31/16
Daisy Grace Spring/Summer 2017

“Big City Love” is the name of this collection. It is inspired by the glam and glitz that you can find in the big cities all around the world. Another key thing to point is the blend the feminine and masculine influence in this collection.

This collection consists of paired up prints and flowy fabrics to create attention-grabbing silhouettes. I am really loving the plaid looks.

Of course, this week wouldn’t be complete without the inclusion of menswear. The different textures and styles give the guys plenty of variety. This collection is designed for the guy who likes to switches up his look in the mind.
That’s it for Stockholm. Next stop is New York for NYFW.
