Over the weekend I took a break from my usual schedule and attended a local event. On Saturday, Day at the Deer took place at Pinebrook Shopping Center. For those who are unfamiliar, the event consisted of activities, live music, giveaways, raffles and more for the entire family. In case you missed it, follow along as I share my experience.

There were several tables set up where people could stop for samples and receive stamps in their Passport to qualify for the raffles from participating retailers. My first stop for the day was our local Whole Foods Market. They were several samples to try both inside and outside the store. I tried a sample of Cindy’s Kitchen Artichoke & Parmesan which was delicious.

While at the Whole Foods table I also picked up a Passport where the object was to gather nine stamps. Speaking of stamps the next stop was Books-A-Million.

In addition, there was a mini train giving rides and face painting for the kids. Located outside of Stein Mart there was a selfie station where you could pick out your favorite prop and take your best selfie. Overall, I had a great time.
