Now while this is a fashion blog I can’t ignore all that’s going on. I think it is important that we all stay informed, but take care of ourselves as well. If you don’t quite know how to do that here are a few ways to self-care.
1. Find Time to “Unplug”
Now while we want to make sure we stay connected and informed it is totally fine to “unplug”. With all the information (true or otherwise) constantly coming our way find time to step away especially from social media. It can be overwhelming at times especially now. You can pick a day to log off. Also, scroll past things or people you don’t want to engage with.
2. Listen to Music
Find some great music to listen to during stressful times. Choose your favorite method to listen to your tunes. I have a several Spotify playlists that are my go-to depending on my mood.
3. Do Something Creative
I have been hearing a lot lately that during times likes this is what births great art. If you aren’t quite “art savvy” there are always adult coloring books. I made a few suggestions for types to choose from back in October. I received a Winter themed one for Christmas that I will be using it in the near future.
4. Take Care of Yourself
In the midst of all this, it can be easy not to neglect ourselves. Make sure you are taking care of your needs as well. You have to be your best self in order to deal with what’s ahead.
5. Move Forward
It is easy to be discouraged, but we all have to keep moving forward the best we can. If you have a bad day or several that’s okay. No one said we have to be strong 24/7.
Hopefully, you find these tips helpful and try them out. Sometimes we have to take a pause for the fashion. I hope all of our readers take care of themselves out there.
