On Monday, Plus Size retailer Torrid announced their My Torrid Model Search for the 2017 Face of Torrid. Ladies, you can apply for a chance by clicking on the link here. If you enter apply last year you are still eligible to reapply. The deadline for applications is August 7th. This year’s model search resulted in over 14,000 applicants.
According to Marketwired, this year’s search will have an interesting twist. Instead of competing before a panel of Torrid judges like last year, the Final Four will battle it out on social media for four weeks in October, garnering votes from the public. After four weeks, the finalist with the most votes will win the model search and an opportunity of a lifetime: she will become the Face of Torrid 2017.
Lisa Harper, Torrid CEO, says, “Our customers are always asking how they can become a Torrid Model. So last year we launched the Torrid model search and made one girl’s dream come true. Now we’re inviting our fan base to choose the winner from the Final Four.”
